On Saturday, 9th April, the VDJS community was blessed to have on their campus the Jain Shvetamber Terapanth, Eleventh Acharya Shri Mahashraman Ji, en route his pilgrimage for non-violence and humanity. A messenger of peace, Acharya Ji started his on-foot crusade in 2014 from Lal Quila, Delhi. By 21st January 2022, he had already covered a distance of 50,000 km and had been to Nepal and Bhutan to champion the cause of world peace and harmony, moral values and deaddiction. Acharya ji was welcomed on the campus by the school patroness Smt. Savitri Jindal Ji and ma’am Principal Ms Shalini Mehrotra. Numerous followers, disciples of Acharya ji, and several dignitaries from Hisar and adjoining areas also visited him on the campus. He blessed the Jindalites with his words of wisdom and stressed on the importance of education and knowledge in choosing the path of virtue and staying focused in one’s life. He also emphasised on non-violence as the supreme religion of all. In her address, Smt. Savitri Jindal ji expressed her gratitude for Acharya Ji’s visit and remembered Bauji, Shri O P Jindal Ji, for his commitment to the cause of girls’ education and the values and principles that Acharya ji promote among the people. The visit concluded with a shower of wisdom and wishes for all by Acharya Ji.
