Date – 5 April 2021
The academic orientation was conducted on 5 April 2021 in order to create an awareness among all students regarding the functioning of school and the curriculum. It was also done to revisit these areas for better understanding.
The Orientation took place at three venues conducted by the respective academic coordinators.
The Primary School was oriented by Ms Bosky Soperna and her team members in the IT Lab.
The Middle School was headed by Ms Neelam Sharma in the Learning Resource Centre
The Senior Secondary school was oriented by Ms Bhagwanti Gupta and Ms Sunita Verma in the Auditorium.
It was a day long orientation which was divided into several components , such as-
VOCATIONAL COURSES/ SKILL SUBJECTS ORIENTATION
The teacher in-charges explained about the courses they are going to offer in session 2021-22 in detail with the help of PPT and some samples. The students were very enthusiastic and asked their queries and listened to all the detail very keenly.
ACADEMIC ORIENTATION
The Daily schedule, Subject offered in Primary School /Middle school/ Senior School, Weekly allocation, Role of CRs, putting up of display board, the role of academic prefect, assignments, conduction of prep in academic and house, SOP to maintain the logbook, Dress code, assessments and Promotion policy was explained with the help of PPTs. The students asked their queries regarding the upcoming session and tried to understand the details. Students were told that all the circulars will be available in houses as well as in the academic block to follow without fail.
HEALTH & PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Ms. Vijay Laxmi and Mr Sandeep Kshatriya gave the overview of the topics and subtopics to be taught in Health and Physical education classes beautifully. Students had put up queries which were addressed in a satisfactory manner.
ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTRE
Mr. Sanjay Jogai highlighted the need and functioning of Academic Support Centre. He invited the students who would like to contribute to peer teaching-learning. He explained the type of remedial and support to be given to the students by ASC with the collaboration of teachers as well as student volunteers.
The entire orientation was conducted smoothly .
