Learning takes place in students’ heads where it is invisible to others. Thus, assessment is an integral part of instruction that enhances, empowers student learning, and provides direction to teaching. VDJS emphasises on the importance of assessing the process of learning as well as the learning outcomes. Our assessments are designed in a way to promote the principle of ‘Minimum Teaching, Maximum learning’.
In our curriculum the main purpose of assessments is to test the core competencies rather than testing the knowledge acquired through rote method of learning. Formative assessments are regularly used through various modes of assessments catering to different learning styles of the learners to diagnose individual needs and to improve instructional programs, which in turn help students to learn more effectively.
Summative Assessments are held every quarter comprising of two Unit Test and two full length examinations.
