Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary. And to give Jindalites that opportunity to rise, a Book Fair was organised at VDJS in collaboration with the Rainbow Publications from the 27th to the 29th of April, 2024. It was inaugurated by the Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon, and was soon teeming with inquisitive and agog Jindalites, scrutinising every title with their keen glances, as they paid a visit to the fair according to the schedule. The fair was packed with books of numerous genres and types, from the light-hearted Thea Stilton, to the wizarding world of Harry Potter and the philosophical Haruki Murakami. Jindalites also eagerly contributed to the VDJS Donation Drive, which was the first venture of the school’s Jhamste Gatasal Club, and an important element of the fair. The fair concluded with a triumphant success as the Jindalites exited the fair with contentment and excitement to explore their newly acquired assets.
