Janmashtami- the celebration of the birth of the divine who gave us the science of life, the Bhagavad Gita, was commemorated at VDJS on 7th September with the utmost enthusiasm. The traditional dresses of the Jindalites complemented the high spirit of the festival resonating in the floral decoration of the auditorium. The celebration commenced with Lord Krishna’s bhajan followed by an entrancing Krishna Leela by Classes IV and V. The beautiful performances of the Inter-House Solo Classical and Semi-Classical Dance further added fervour to the festive mood. The Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon and the Administrator, Mr Nikhil Rudra, along with all the Jindalites performed the Janmashtami pooja, cradled Kahna ji and prayed for the welfare of all. The programme concluded with the distribution of the traditional prasad among Jindalites.
