Houses

Home away from home…

As a full residential school, our boarding houses afford a high degree of pastoral care and we know that girls learn better and thrive in our friendly, family environment. Houses offer advantages for girls to develop their independence and gain confidence in their own abilities whilst being supported by understanding staff.

Our ambition is to offer more and ensure our girls become poised, articulate, confident, and self-assured in order to learn, live and lead our global society of the future. The school has been divided into four Houses. They are Kasturba, Laxmibai, Sarojini and Savitri. Each house is under the care of a House Mistress, an Assistant House Mistress and two Dorm Parents. There are fifteen mentors attached to each house who support in Pastoral Care.

Inter House cultural, literary and sports activities are held on a regular basis. These house-based activities encourage participation and interaction among students and go a long way in providing a sense of belonging and creating security in a student’s young mind.
