Class XI organised a Mock Youth Parliament of the Lok Sabha Question Hour
Session on the 24th September in the auditorium. The session commenced with the display of a short video that gave an inside view of the actual working of the parliament of India. The session was presided over by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. The Prime Minister, accompanied by the Cabinet debated thirteen questions which were posed by the Members of the Opposition on the vital happenings in India today, such as participation of India in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Agneepath Yojana, increase in the number of farmer suicides and many more. The Mock Youth Parliament also showcased the actual proceedings of the parliament during extreme arguments and their consequences. The event concluded with the presentation of awards to the participants for the Best Speaker, the Best Question, and the Best Parliamentarian by Principal, Ms Shalini Mehrotra.
