A virtual session was conducted by Dr Santosh Mishra for the Class XII students of Geography to mark the National Maritime Day on 5th April. The guest speakers were Mr Puskar Mishra, and Ms Jevika Tiwari who have been working on water conservation, green- engineering, and Coastal area Management. During the thought-provoking session, they appreciated the well-researched presentations put up by the students on oil spills, thermal pollution, oceanic- biomagnification, preservation of the rich marine resources of India, and an environmentally sustainable approach to intercontinental commerce. The session reinforced the responsibility of the present generation of being sensitive custodians of the planet.
