The National Science Day was observed in School on 28th February to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian Physicist Sir C V Raman on 28 February 1928, a feat for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics.
The Theme for this Year was ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future‘.
The Science department planned a school tour to make the students aware of sustainable practices as an integral part of school functioning. They were assisted by Estate manager Mr. Raushan Kumar and Assistant Estate Manager Mr. Madhusudan who enlightened students about various practices of sustainable development.
The students explored the following places:
1. Organic farming
2. Solar panels at the roof of the academic block
3. Heritage Park
4. Composting area and machine
5. Biogas plant
6. Sewage water treatment plant 7. Water Filteration plant
