A Reading Conference was organised on August 17, 2020 for the students of classes IV and V. The Reading Conference focused on the reading strategies to be followed by the students. Teachers from the Department of English and Hindi encouraged students to cultivate the habit of reading and to become independent readers. A collection of stories were shared which were tailored to the learning needs and reading interests of the students.

The Reading Conference catered to a variety of areas like Phonics, Journey of a Book, Puppetry and a Demo of Read Aloud. The students really enjoyed the Conference. Mr Rohit Sharma explained the phonics to the kids and in no time they picked up the rules of the silent letters. Ms Shriya Bhalla taught kids how to make different kinds of puppets and it was a joy to see the kids geared up to make their own puppets. Ms Seema Mishra reinforced the story elements through her amazing puppet show, which was thoroughly liked by the kids. Mr Rishi taught the kids how to read different kinds of poems and prose. Ms Bosky Soperna explained the Journey of Books and within no time the kids were excited to share their own experience about their journey of reading books. A worksheet on the story elements was shared with the kids. They are working on it and soon share it with the subject teachers. E-Certificates will be soon presented to our avid readers of classes IV-V.

The Reading Conference has just begun and there will be a lot of activities throughout this session to make sure that the kids just simply love reading!
