Road Safety Month

In accordance with the guidelines sent by CBSE, Road Safety Month was observed in School from 18th January 2021 to 17th February 2021 on the theme ‘Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha’. The aim was to underline the urgency for adopting various road safety measures to minimise the loss of life and property which happens on account of accidents. A series of online and offline activities were conducted for the students of all classes. The students made posters and pamphlets on the topic showing their awareness of traffic rules and highlighting the message of cautious driving and observance of safety norms. The girls also made comic strips and videos to convey the message in a reader/ viewer friendly format. A quiz was conducted for all classes to assess the awareness of traffic rules, signage and other road etiquettes. It was followed by the sharing of interesting trivia and class discussions for knowledge enhancement. The School Medical Officer conducted a workshop on First Aid which must be administered to accident victims and the crucial role played by that in saving lives. The students also created informative podcasts so as to share the message far and wide. The work done by the students was showcased in the form of an exhibition. The observance led to much greater awareness of road safety rules.
