On 17th December 15 students of Class VIII from VDJS collaborated with Sunbeam School Lahartara to share and discuss on one of the pillars of Round Square IDEALS i.e. Environment. The theme for the collaboration was Impact of Covid 19 on the environment. The Jindalites gave a well researched presentation on the Impact of medical waste on the environment during the time of Covid 19. The proper disposal of masks, use of reusable masks were some of the issues discussed. Finding actionable solutions to the challenges at hand was stressed upon.
Sunbeam School made a presentation on the subtheme Impact of COVID 19 on River Ganga. They spoke about reducing the pollution levels of the river Ganga and the need to save Gangetic animals both by regular cleaning of the Ganga Ghats and through awareness rallies.
The meeting was facilitated by Mr. Duncan Hossack, School Support Director- USA and Canada. It was a very enriching experience for the students of the two participating schools.
