Dean of Activities Ms Puja Pant conducted a session email etiquettes for the Faculty. The session was a primer on the do’s and don’ts which one should be mindful of while writing an email. The proper salutation, subject line, whom to send, cc or bcc, the appropriate language and tone were some of the issues dwelt upon. The members were also reminded of the need for a clear Call to action and a proper signature block at the end. An open discussion on certain doubts, clarifications and challenges helped everyone arrive at a better understanding of digital communication. The session ended with the reminder to be precise as well as sensitive since ‘ there is a human being at the end of the send button’.
