The School provides an extensive sports and physical education programme. Every Jindalite is expected to take part in the sport and fitness programme. Girls participate in a rich range of sports commensurate with their abilities and every girl should be able to find a skill to become engaged in. Teamwork is fostered, leaders are identified and developed and girls learn much about themselves and others; sport is a vehicle for personal development. The school benefits from a team of expert professional coaches. In addition, the academic staff is enthusiastically committed to helping deliver the extensive sports programme.
The VDJS' Sports Complex comprises a 400 m grassy Athletic track, a grassy Hockey Ground, Shooting range, a basketball arena, Volleyball, an Olympic sized Swimming Pool, a Skating Rink along with Taekwondo and Yoga facilities. Apart from outdoor sports, the students are encouraged to play cerebral games like Chess.

These coaches are on the lookout for promising talent from a very early age, in order to provide a carefully designed short and long term training regimen to bring out the very best in each individual.
An annual sports programme has been drawn up in conjunction with other schools to ensure that seasons for the respective sports coincide. This will incorporate a calendar of dates for inter-house and inter-school competitions in each of the various sports, as well as friendly matches between staff and students.
