A delegation of 14 students along with I/Cs Ms Suman Arora and Ms Supriya Pathak participated in the launching ceremony of the campaign ‘Empowerment of Girl Child’ by Brahmakumaris at Om Shanti Retreat Centre, Gurugram on 7th May. The event was graced by the campaign’s Brand Ambassador, Ms Shehnaaz Gill, Dr Mahender Manjupara, Minister of State for Ayush and Minister of State for Women and Child Development, and Mr Ravinder Shrivastave, renowned Bollywood singer. Team VDJS bemused the audience, comprising 2200 students from different schools, with their stirring dance performance on the theme “Women Excellence in Different Fields”. In her address, BK Sister Shivani suggested that values and virtues must be promoted at the school level and meditation should be practised by the young learners on a daily basis. It was a unique experience for the Jindalites, as it gave them an opportunity to showcase their talent and also affected new learnings about their inner strength as an individual.
