The Vidya Devi Jindal School celebrated its 34th Annual Day on 26th December from 6:30 pm-7:30pm. In view of the situation necessitated by the pandemic the event was organised virtually and was attended by members of the School Management Committee, students, parents, alumnae and members of the faculty. The School has a rich and proud history of nurturing and grooming Phenomenal Women and this became the theme of this year’s celebration.
The hour long program began with the lighting of the lamp by Principal, Ms Shalini Mehrotra. Thereafter the Principal addressed the extended school community apprising them of the major highlights of the year gone by and expressing her pride in the strides made by school in various verticals. The annual report of the school gave a glimpse of the activities, events and achievements of the year 2020. The School’s Covid mitigation plans and future readiness were also shared with all. The Annual Award Ceremony marked the felicitation of the achievers of the year gone by. The cultural program was a delightful mix of music, dance and theatrical skills. Each performance showcased the theme in a creative way bringing to fore the various avatars, talents and potential of women. The entire event was a complete VDJS production with the camera work, editing, direction and choreography handled by students and teachers. The celebration which ended with the National Anthem was enjoyed by all.
