Whether bidding adieu to a place, a group of people, or a phase of life, farewells are moments laden with emotions, memories, and the promise of new beginnings. Class XI hosted a farewell for Class XII, Batch of 2023-24, on 14th December in the auditorium.
Attired in beautiful tradtionals, Class XII ‘mavericks’, as they call themselves to be, brightened the evening with their grace and elegance. The event commenced with a soulful rendition by Samaira. As the evening unfolded, Class XI delighted the gathering with a melange of folk and Western moves on rocking numbers of all eras from Bollywood, with a vivacious bhangra performance and a decorous ball dance.
Amid the great pomp and show, the most awaited part of the evening, the Miss VDJS Pageant, was orchestrated. The Pageant was fractionated into three rounds. The first round consisted of a ramp walk, in the second round, the semi-finalists showcased their talent and in the third round, the finalists answered the questions posed by the Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon. The question round, certainly, tickled the think tank in the contestants. During the programme, Jindalites got to know many interesting facts, for instance, Neha Rathee could sing and Sahana could speak in multiple languages!
The evening catapulted to its climax, with the announcement and the crowning of the winners of the various titles. The gala event rounded off with a special dinner and Jam session for the ‘mavericks’ that turned the night into a caravan of grooving fireflies.In the tapestry of life, farewells are the threads that weave together the past, the present, and the future. VDJS wishes Class XII all the best for their future and the undiscovered journey that awaits them!
