Lohri & Makar Sakranti Celebrations
The festival of warmth and hope, Lohri & Makar Sakranti, was celebrated by the VDJS staff on 14th January. After the celestial invocation, the holy bonfire was lit by Ma’am Principal, Ms Shalini Mehrotra, and the offerings of ghee and til were made to the fire by the staff praying for peace and prosperity. The zeal and thrill of the festival absorbed the staff as they played games and danced to the beats of traditional music. The day was further made special with the luscious lunchprepared by the staff that heralded the advent of warmer days- bajre ki khichadi, halwa, puri, haryaali paneer.
