The 9th edition of the Alumnae Talk show Memory Junction was held on Sunday, 23rd January. The guest speaker was Lt Amreen Kaur (Ex Laxmibai, Head Girl, Batch of 2013) A consummate achiever Amreen completed her masters in Political Science (2017-19) from Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner, Rajasthan and stood first in the course. She cleared NTA-NET  in December 2018 and in May 2019, she cleared the SSB to join the Indian Army.

Currently, she is a Lieutenant posted in Jammu and Kashmir. In a freewheeling chat she spoke about the role of VDJS, her supportive parents and her passion in helping her in her journey. A proud defence lady she spoke glowingly about the life and culture of army, the discipline which is reminiscent of VDJS and the emphasis on constant upskilling with the army’s focus on being scholar warriors. She also guided the girls on how they can join the army. The session ended with a promise from her to visit the school at the earliest possible opportunity.
