Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar
Report of Dubai Trip
Date: from October 30, 2019 to November 04, 2019
The school organized a trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi from October 30, 2019 to November 04, 2019. 8 students along with a Teacher escort Dr Archna Sharma proceeded for the excursion on October 30, 2019 at around 12:30am and reached Dubai in the afternoon.
The group visited Dubai Mall and BurjKhalifa, the highest building and went up to the observation deck – 125th floor. They saw a magnificent view of Dubai from Burj Khalifa and enjoyed the musical fountain.
During the Dubai city tour, the group visited the Jumeriah Mosque, drove through the old Bastakia district to the 150 years old Alfahidi Fort, Gold horses, Palm Jumeriah, and few major centers of Dubai. The tour to the desert safari was amazing. This off Road adventure took us from city to Golden sand dunes. The total duration of tour is 5-6 hrs included barbecue dinner and dance.
The experience of aqua-venture Water Park, The Lost Chamber and the Dhow Cruise was amazing. Aqua-venture is set in 42 acres overflowing with fun including Master Blasters, speed slide, rapids, Splashes, children’s play area, lush tropical landscapes and a beautiful private beach. The Lost Chambers is a maze of underwater halls and tunnels with the incredible 65,000 marine animals of Atlantis. A traditionally decorated wooden Dhow (cabin cruise) is known for the true beauty of Dubai while aboard it sails along the Dubai creek under the moonlight.
The city tour of Abu Dhabi and Ferrari world had been an unforgettable experience. Al children enjoyed all the rides and did shopping at city center mall. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is an amusement park located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. It is the first and only Ferrari-branded theme park and largest indoor theme park in the world. Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest roller coaster, is also located here.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the world’s most popular attractions. It is the third-largest mosque in the world covering 22,412 square meters of area. It covers an area equivalent to nearly four football fields. It has 82 white marble domes, 1,096 exterior columns, 96 semi-precious jewel-encrusted internal columns and seven 24-carat gold plated Swarovski crystal chandeliers, making it the jaw-dropping centerpiece of the city’s cultural legacy. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque takes its name from the UAE’s first president and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who conceived the idea.
He took architectural direction of the project with his wish for it to be his final resting place. After his death in 2004, his body was buried in the mosque’s courtyard.
Learning from the trip:
Learning is a never ending process. Educational excursion has always been a good learning experience along with enjoyment, for everyone. The present trip taught the group numerous lessons of life. Some major learning from the tour includes:
Respect Time – always be on time, all the cabs reached exactly 5 minutes before the scheduled time and as per instructions no driver waits for more than 10 minutes and there is no refund provided in case someone misses the transport.
Keep the surrounding clean – It is important to keep our surroundings clean. We did not find a single toffee rapper anywhere in Dubai or in Abu Dhabi. It is a treat to be in a clean place.
Create a safe place – It is everyone’s’ responsibility to provide a safe place to live-in. It is safe to move out in Dubai at any point of time (Day or night).
Honesty – It is the most important value that we all should possess. One of our students left her bag somewhere in the Aqua venture water park and she got the bag back from lost and found counter after 30 minutes.
