Exploring the Dual Nature of Rivers

On 6th November 2025, Vidya Devi Jindal School participated in the Round Square Geography Lab on the theme “Rivers: Lifelines or Threats?” hosted by The British School, New Delhi, through the VDJS online platform. Ten students from Classes XI and XII, guided by Dr Santosh Kumar Mishra, represented the school. The VDJS team presented a detailed case study on the Kosi River, highlighting its importance in supporting livelihoods and the challenges caused by frequent floods and displacement. Their presentation was praised for its research and clarity. The session encouraged collaborative discussions on sustainable river management and helped students understand the need for responsible use of natural resources.
