A perfect symposium of music, dance, drama, talent, and arduous endeavours, a tradition which the Jindalites are proud owners of – the VDJS House Nites. This year too, all the four Houses set their own new benchmarks for the astounding performances that they unrolled in the evenings on the 22nd and 23rd of August.
It takes many sleepless nights and countless rest hours to finally come up with a staggering and novel performance. The Sarojinites’ hilarious dance on Shinchan, the melodious tinkling of western songs, and a parody of ‘Kapil Sharma Show’ sent ripples of laughter across the auditorium. The Laxmibians commenced with the classical Shubharam, grooved on Bhangra beats, and set the evening on fire with the performance of little champs and the sweetness of musical mash-up. The Savitrians were no less, and gave a commendable blend of Fashion Show, wherein the beauty was clad in traditional sarees in a unique style and the flare of cultural ethos resonating in the song of the Savitri House’s nightingales. They hooked the spectators with their Korean moves to an English song. And then came the Kasturbians, who began with the celestial Ganesh Vandana, followed by the display of agility of lightning with their Gidda, Haryavani and Hip-Hop dance performances, and a melody by the little magic wands. A digital gesture of the rocking life at Kasturba House moved the audience.
Sharing of the House Report is an indispensable part of the fete as it summarises and acknowledges the efforts, participation, and accomplishments made by the children throughout a session. It is rightly said, “Success is best when it is shared,” and the deserving children were felicitated, for their commitment to excellence, with awards by the Pastoral Team and applauded by their fellow mates. The eureka moment for all the houses was the appreciation and admiration they got from the children of other houses. Surely, the very sight of the running of the juniors into the seniors to tell them how surpassing their event was, itself is a ‘Padma Bhushan’ for the four Houses.
