Mr Jatin Kumar is an MA, MPhil and Ph.D in Music. He has ten years of teaching experience with six years in VDJS. A talented musician he loves to compose albums with his band of singers in school. Sound engineering and sound designing are his other areas of expertise. Under his guidance the Audio-Visual squad comprising students has been handling light and sound for all major school functions efficiently. With a strong belief in the transformative power of music it is his dream to set up a recording studio in school. He wishes to equip students with performance, composition and theoretical skills and would love to see them take up music as a career path.
Mohsin Khan is a highly talented and experienced Western music trainer who is deeply passionate about teaching music and dedicated to nurturing musical talent in his students at VDJS. He is proficient in piano, vocals, drums, keyboards, and guitar, having completed Grade 8 at Trinity College London. Additionally, he holds a diploma in harmonium from Indian music, showcasing a strong foundation across various instruments.
With 20 years of experience teaching Western music, Mohsin has mentored students of all ages and helps aspiring musicians prepare for graded music examinations from institutions Music Board like Trinity College London and ABRSM. Beyond teaching, he is a skilled pianist and performer, having played with various artists and rock bands from India. He is also a composer and singer for the Redio brand in India, where he has created numerous songs and jingles for advertisements on TV and OTT platforms.
In addition to his work as a music trainer, Mohsin has directed many annual performances for educational institutions and organized music events for various occasions. Outside of music, he is an avid hockey player and actively involved in social causes through NGO work. He also has interests in music production, composition, and filmmaking. With his broad range of skills and extensive experience, Mohsin is dedicated to inspiring students and music enthusiasts alike.
Mr. Tridweep holds a Master’s degree in Music and certification from Trinity College London for studies in Western music. With a strong academic foundation in both vocal and instrumental music, he specializes in Sitar, Guitar, and vocals, offering students a diverse choice of musical instruments and styles. He brings valuable international teaching experience, having delivered music education across globally recognized curricula at reputed institution. His expertise includes curriculum development, mentoring school rock bands and solo musical performances. He exposes students to both Indian Classical traditions and Western music forms, helping them recognize shared musical structures, appreciate diverse artistic expressions, and understand music as a universal language that transcends borders.
Ms Jayati is an exquisitely graceful classical dancer with Vishard Degree (Five-Years) from Prachin Kathak Kala Kendra, Chandigarh and Masters in Kathak and Diploma in Folk Dance. She has nine years of teaching experience with five years in VDJS. She is a gold medallist in Kathak for six times and has been relentlessly exploring the various genres of dance. She received the National Best Choreographer award by the Govt. of Haryana in 2018. She has also had the opportunity to work with celebrated artists like Prabhu Deva and Akshay Kumar.
It is her earnest desire to expand the scope and popularity of different cultural dances by providing opportunities to girls through student exchange programmes. Her hobbies include music, dance, travelling and adventure activities.
